At My Church at Abba's House we have a variety of ministries to meet the needs of our growing congregation and community.
Abba's House of Grace
This is our jail ministry, providing Bibles and a Bible-based recovery program to inmates. Help to assimilate into the body of Christ after release, showing God's unconditional love!! "This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)
This monthly workshop for adults is designed for parents of all ages, newlyweds building a foundation for their home, and anyone seeking knowledge on leading their family in a Godly way. Workshop sponsors Charles and Brandi Carpenter lead activities and self-, team-, and family-building exercises. Come and enjoy a potluck meal. Child care is provided. Encounter Prayer Team
My Church's prayer team meets every Sunday from 9 -10:30 a.m. All are welcome.
My Church's food pantry operates every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Pantry director Donna Orndorf coordinates with Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and we are supported by charitable and food donations from our church and community! Watch a video and learn more!
FUEL Life Group and Youth
Youth ages 12-18 are invited to the weekly Life Group at 10 a.m., after regular worship for a time Bible study and sharing! We also meet on Wednesday nights at 6:45 p.m. Discussions are led by Arissa Pearson and her husband Josh and are geared specifically towards today's generation of teenagers providing a refreshing perspective and help them realize their Kingdom potential! Kids ages 4-11 are welcomed to this exciting church service, led by kids pastor Denise Ryman and coordinator Judy Herbaugh each week from 11 a.m. to the end of traditional service. Kids enjoy their own worship time, snack, crafts, lessons, offerings plus challenges from Pastor Denise!
Men In Action (MIA)
The men of My Church gather once a month, too, for breakfast and fellowship and a time of devotion. These breakfasts are led by associate pastor Bill Pearson at the church the first Saturday of the month at 8 a.m.
The Solid Rock Road
A Christian recovery program based on 10 Bible principles of recovery, used by individuals and in a group recovery process. We use God's Word as our source!
Women of Power (WOP)
Once a month the women of My Church gather for anointed teaching and biblical principles on living life to the fullest under the guidance of Vivian Scott, associate pastor. WOP, as we call it, is usually held on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Check the calendar for more details.
